Where?     

"Casa Bernardo" is located directly at the beach Playa los Cocos / El Morro between Carupano and Rio Caribe, close to Playa Medina the most beautiful beach of Venezuela. Here you have the true Caribbean feeling . You can relax in a hammock, daydream a bit or read a book, you never had the time to.  You can also swim in the Atlantic ocean.  The water is warm and clear, at 26 degreesCentigrade.  No sharks, nice wavesand then - get your Caribbean suntan.

When?

We have 365 days of sunshine with temperatures between 26 and 32 degrees Centigrade.  Season is all year! You can enjoy quiet and peaceful beaches. The high season for the natives is only during the week of Eastern and at Christmas and New Year. Don't miss carnival in Carupano - known throughout Venezuela.

How to get here!

From all mayor cities of the world you'll find a flight to Caracas (CCS) and from there you have local lines (Rutaca and Avior) to Carupano (CUP).  From Caracas you also find ground transport with comfortable busses to the Terminal of Carupano.  From there you can take a Taxi (20 min drive)

Casa Bernardo    (Bed & Breakfast)

The house was completely remodeled in 2004. It is directly at the beach.  There is no traffic, just the sound of palm trees and waves. We have only four rooms.  For the low budget traveler we offer to sleep in a hammock.  Comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas (photo) are available.  We offer dinner for our houseguests with special dishes from Germany, Peru and Lobster (seasonal).

We speak English, Spanish and German.

- Carupano - is a small, charming town with a typical Caribbean market and nightlife

- Playa Medina, the most beautiful beach of Venezuela

- Cueva de Guacharos, Caverns discovered by Alexander von Humboldt . Hundreds of night birds live in this cavern. 

                                   Here  they recorded the sound track of Hitchcock's "Birds"

- Boat trips to catch lobster or fishwith local fishermen

- Thermal Bathes near Casanay

- Isla Margarita (flight or ferry) and enjoy tax-free shopping (day-trip)

Prices

Depending of the comfort of the room, we charge only between US$ 20,- and US$ 28,- per night, each person, 

including breakfast. Hammocks are only US$ 12, - per night including breakfast.
